Yup-Green 1-perhaps both green horse and green rider-I really don't remember, but yes, it can easily be found in the rule book. You will also have to get your horse a license for any NRHA show. Not a big deal, but you need one, as well as a membership for yourself. FInd your local affiliate and go to some shows just to watch and learn.
Reining is hard to get into unless you know someone who can help you. I found just which classes I can go in to be confusing. Even if you look at the patterns there are lots of little things to score higher that you may not pick up on…..like going past certain markers in the ring for certain maneuvers.
