Starting reining, Need Info.

I'm looking to get into reining, and I'm going to try and get lessons, but I found out there are shows where you are allowed two hands and simple lead changes.

Does anybody know anything about these and rules, patterns, etc.?

Any links to websites or pages with more info?

Thanks!

Yup-Green 1-perhaps both green horse and green rider-I really don't remember, but yes, it can easily be found in the rule book. You will also have to get your horse a license for any NRHA show. Not a big deal, but you need one, as well as a membership for yourself. FInd your local affiliate and go to some shows just to watch and learn.
Reining is hard to get into unless you know someone who can help you. I found just which classes I can go in to be confusing. Even if you look at the patterns there are lots of little things to score higher that you may not pick up on…..like going past certain markers in the ring for certain maneuvers.
Good luck and have fun!
