Good idea, DA.

OP, what about NetPosse as well?

Hope you find the horse. Stinks that a lessee would sell an animal they don't even own.

This horse made me do a double-take: 9y/o Paint DR Paint Mare
Similar but different markings - less white on neck and white on hindquarters doesn't go back far enough.

OP, I hope you get your mare back! As someone who is looking to lease out my horse, I'm really really nervous about him being sold - which is why I'm asking for a $500 bond (he's worth about $2500) which I'll return when I get back my horse...but it makes drawing up lease agreements really painful, none of the standard agreements you buy at the saddlery have anything like that in them.

Hi guys! I have some great news!! Maisey was found yesterday!!!! She will be returning to her original owner today after the seizure warrant is given to the new "owner". She is in rough shape, skinny and looking pretty dull, so some TLC is in store for her.

Thanks for the advice. Our BO had posted on both NetPosse and Equiery. Also DA, I seriously did a double take too on the mare you linked. Thanks guys for your concern. All too often stolen horses are not recovered and we were really worried Maisey was going to be one of them. :D

We had no idea that the leasee had stolen Maisey. We were under the belief that the leasee bought Maisey after her lease agreement was up. She sold Maisey within a few weeks. None of us thought anything was wrong or adnormal other than the leasee kept "forgetting" to give a copy of the lease agreement to our BO. A few days before I posted that Maisey was stolen was when Maisey's real owners called our BO asking for an update on Maisey since she had been unable to get in contact with the leasee. That's all I know.
