Hi everyone.
I've decided on my trailer of choice and it's a 2 Horse, Straight Load, Walk Through (no manger) with a ramp and no tack room. I've been researching manufacturers and I thought maybe some of you might have some input on a good quality trailer, as well as trailers to steer to clear of. I live on the West Coast in Oregon so many of the manufacturers on the East Coast would be cost prohibitive for transport and they often don't even sell out here. The exception is Double D, they have a flat rate deliver for just under $400, which is awesome. Does anyone have any experience with them? Some of the others I've researched are Calico, Trails West, Exiss (heard some negative reviews on them), Hawk, Sundowner, Featherlite to name a few.
I have a large horse so the older models aren't big enough but it seems that many newer trailers are often 7'6 Tall with 36" stalls.
I'd love any input. Although please no discussions on the merits of a slant load vs. a straight load. I'm absolutely sold on a straight load.
Thanks so much!
