Hi… has anyone dealt with this? My horse was vetted and x-rayed due to huge swollen left butt cheek and a strange gait.found nothing. He was fine for a couple of weeks the swelling was going down. And then a few days ago he now has a lump located to the left side of his tail bone about 3

Sure looks like a abscess ready to erupt...
With where it is have to wonder if he rubbed his butt and got a thorn, piece of something embedded under the skin, now it has got a pus pocket and infection...
With the fact it changed sides, more to wonder about rubbing and embedding and indeed the infection happening...
I would call the vet cause it might need lanced while it is so noticeable so the point of whatever is caught inside can be pulled out...
I could also be very wrong, but infection and a abscess needing drained is sure on top of my list....
