Not really sure where to post this, but I am looking into getting a new pair of tall boots, I really liked the tall boots that I had before that were synthetic, but I can't seem to find the same brand in my size anywhere.

Anybody have any in put on the DevonAir Freedom or the Saxon Feild boot? Those are the two brands the local tack store has in my size.

I like the Saxon Boots- They're what I had before I got my Dublin RCS boots, and they're very similar. Classic or Millbrook?

Classic, haven't been up to look at Millbrook yet, I have never seen either brand there before though.

Yeah, I definitely prefer Classic over Millbrook for the "basics". Millbrook's consignment on saddles is really nice, though.

I hate going into Classic just to browse though since the owner is always breathing down your neck when you are in there it feels like! Millbrook is much better for that.

Classic is so expensive - so is Millbrooke on that matter. Have you ever considered Jacksons Western in Wayland?? Much cheaper! AND my favorite - Mary's Equine Line *she sells at wholesale*

I have a pair of the Saxon Equileather Field Boots that I got from Horseloverz that they had on ebay with no reserve. I got mine brand new for $30 something.

They have tons on ebay right now going around $79.00.

I LOVE my Saxon Equileather Field Boots. They are comfortable and very long lasting, I have had mine for five years and they are still in great shape. I would encourage anyone to buy them

dont get the devo Aire synthetic field boots! they lasted me all of 5 months. they riped on the inside calf on the outside of the boots. The tack store took them back and i bought the ariat challange all leather. They were 380.00 but you get what you pay for. Sorry:)

Honestly, everyone says Classic is so expensive... I don't see it. Everything I've ever gotten from Classic has been at or below what I would pay online/ at Millbrook/ Dover/ any other place online.

She also gave me a great discount on Zip's winter blanket- another horse had ripped it to shreds, and she said since she was putting them on sale in a couple of weeks anyways, she could give me that discount then, plus some. I like that she's helpful, esp. cuz I always have questions, and for trying dressage saddles, they were very helpful.

Yeah, I am fifty-fifty on her. I haven't had very good experiences with her with saddles but everything else I have had a good experience with. I will likely end up going with the saxon, I haven't found very good reviews with the devon aires.

Yeah I did, ended up having a nasty vet bill for my dog so selling it was a must.

I wear a size 11 and a wide calf.

QH, you're going to need the extra-wide calf if you get the Saxon Equileather.

I bought them because I'll only be wearing them for foxhunting and couldn't see paying a boat load of money for custom made, leather tall boots. Maybe later, but not now.

I normally wear a size 7, but needed the extra-wide calf boots, so I had to go up to an 8.5. The extra-wide is only offered in the larger sizes, dagnabbit!

Okay, I will keep that in mind. I only plan to wear mine at shows, otherwise I have a nice pair of leather paddock boots and half chaps that work fine for schooling, so I don't want to pay oodles of money for them, plus I hate having to clean leather shoes!
