Hi guys, Just wanted to ruin something past all of you that I am concerned about.

Yesterday I got my boys teeth floated. I got them looked at because he was dropping wieght depsite being in a paddock full of healthy grass and being fed lucerne twice a day, chaff and mill run with his nightly feed. He is an OTT and although i expoected some wieght drop i didnt expect him to look poorly. I noticed that he was a very messy eater also. So hence the decision to get a dentist out asap. In additon to this he is up to dsate with worming , his feet have been trimmed correctly and are well on their way to a healthy state and his strangles and tetnus are also up to date.

The dentist said that his teeth were shocking - that they looked like they had not been tended to in approx 2 yrs. One side was worn down quite a bit and the other was just too high for him to be chewing correctly at all, Let alone him being raced like they did(previous owner). He is only turning 6 this year and my concern was that he was not getting enough suppliments and feed to carry him through- boy was i wrong. The dentist and vet advised me that he was getting fed the correct amount and although she would change what i was feeding him out of personal preference more then anything he will be fine- this was agreed by the dentist too.

My question is: will his gentle nature and willing frame of mind change after this lil dentist trip ? And if so why ?
Cheers in advance.

Went out to my overgrown furry wanna be pharlap and well already the change in him is 'beautiful'. He seems more content with attention around his head - not that it was a problem before but its like he is just so happy to have people near him, he does have a lil spring in his step and his food isnt all over the ground now :) his appitite has increased already and his eagerness to get out and see the world and do ''things' astounds me. What a great result even after one day......o lord - god i love him - i was able to help him and best of all i was able to understand what he was telling me :) **** PROUD MUMMY MOMENT**** thank you guys
