Okay, so...the gal who owns William, Sam, and Buck now has 16 or so llamas that she has "rescued" (been given by the lady who really rescues them), and she's getting spread thin. My mom and I know that she's going to have to stop at some point, and the nine horses are going to be reduced to a smaller herd...and Willie (my mom's riding horse), Sam (my "worn out" race horse) and Molly the Shetland are probably going to be the first to go since they live in a pasture that she can't see from her porch :?. I'm pulling back from expanding my Breyer horse collection and saving what I earn feeding/cleaning up after horses for her so that hopefully when she does need to downsize, I can pay to take care of the horses/put up fences. And it's only a matter of time...

We don't have any place to keep horses here, but our neighbors have a pature (unfenced) that they'd let us use. As for feed programs...a good quality grass hay and a complete feed.

Sorry for venting, but it's the truth...is there anything i can do, if my dad does finally consent to having horses here, to make their lives better here on less pature?
