Working on this 23" X 28" charcoal work for a client up north, which I have named "The Sidekick". I bet the little guy isn't cold with THAT much hair!

I hope you like it....I hope to have it completed by next week. Stay tuned for updates.

I love these art journal/WIP threads. I learn so much just studying how people progress with a drawing or painting.

I am so amazed at the detail you can capture with charcoal. I have only done one charcoal drawing and really stuggled with the fine details. Then I tried to sharpen my charcoal pencil and it broke!!! Haven't attempted to sharpen it since...lol.

Can't wait to see the finished product!

I showed the client the pic and he said, "I like it, but the barn in the background would be nice."

SO, I added it - luckily I sprayed it so I could lay my hand on it to put in in there. I hope you like the finished pic....at least I hope it is finished.

Good luck and let me know what you think of the barn in the pic. Do you like it with/or without?
