Recently, I've been entertaining the idea of selling my gelding. My mare has shown a lot of potential and would I like to put a lot more training on her, so I've been focusing more on her, and I've had no time to ride or work with Licorice. Because of that, he's becoming quite rude and a handful to ride, and I find he brings me nothing but frustration to handle. But, he was my first horse and I've had him for three years, and the thought of seeing him go is very upsetting.

I guess I'm just looking for a little guidance, or advice on how to get over the guilt if I do decide to sell him.

I think you need to ask yourself why exactly you are wanting to sell him? is it the expense of keeping him because you're about to invest in your mare? or is it because he's just unpleasant to be around because he's difficult to handle? what are your long term goals with him? what not put him into a full lease?
