Actually there is something else that could be important. Get her used to you wrapping your arms around her neck and behind her withers and hugging her. Practice encircling her rump as well and do these on both sides. Should you ever need to do this for the vet she won't be fearful and struggle. This will be a real trust issue because instinctively she would flee thnking a wild cat has grabbed her and will eat her. You won't want to encircle her completely at first but do it gradually.

Teach her to accept you handling her muzzle and gradually putting a finger in the side of her mouth. And do it on both sides. Also gently run your finger and thumb around the raised skin on her nostrils. Horses find this very relaxing. Later get her used to you putting your finger in her nostrils.
