One day we went to check on my yearling at another pasture and noticed her one leg double to the size of the other. Called the vet and they said to get her home and go from there. 2 days later we got her home, and 20 minutes after we put her in the pasture she abscess popped, perfect timing?

I had someone come out and they wrapped her leg from the fetlock to hock to reduce the swelling which helped a ton! It is still draining.

But here are the special conditions:
1. It is on the inside of her back right fetlock (not in the hoof), vet said we didn't need to worry about joint infection.

2. I live in Minnesota and we just open a section of the barn for them to come in.

3. Stalling isn't an option.

Any ideas??
