Hi all,

My 12 year old mare went lame about two months ago. Vet came out and diagnosed laminitis (with no rotation), and so she was removed from pasture and put into a stall where she gets fed low NSC hay twice per day. However, she was still showing signs of lameness after two months and so I had the vet come out again and she said that the laminitis was gone but that now it is arthritis that is causing problems. My horse is getting hock injections tomorrow for the arthritis, but I am also trying to determine what boarding situation is best for her in the long-term. She is prone to laminitis, and so pasture isn’t good for her, but keeping her stalled isn’t good for her arthritis. Any thoughts on what I should do?
