Hi ,
I just bought my First horse and i realise his hooves are a little to long. The seller and i have an arangment that intill he is payed off he must stay on her farm. So she has a farrier comming just before christmas but im not sure weather I should get them trimmed sooner or wiat she says that i can have someone come sooner if i feel he is in need of a trim. (oh i left out the fact that i am not allowed to ride him on her farm because she has no licsence so if something happened there is nothing she could do.)
should i get them trimmed or wiat?

i say get him trimmed :) it is good so you arent spending extra expese's when you get him.
Also it will keep him from having further issues with his feet etc in the future :)

Get him trimmed ASAP, you don't want to wait until they are reallly bad, then there could be some serious problems.

If it is bad enough you think they need fixed, whether or not he is on her property, you are buying him, he is your horse and your responsibility.

^ Usually the person who is selling him, will be getting the feet trimmed, or anything that needs to be done. Before the sale is official...
