Alright, so some of you may know I sold my QH mare, and I went about looking for a new horse. I fell absolutly head over heels in love with a 16.3 registered paint name Tye "Monty Carlo". Now i wasn't so sure about him because i am an eventer/ hunter/jumper rider, and he has been westurn all 12 years of his life. I have trained several westurn to english horses before, but i have never be put to the test of training a westurn horse to college level riding, or prelim eventing, so I was slightly skeptical, and my parents, well, they thought I was crazy. he is a giant older paint who doesn't even know his right lead(team penning to thank for that one).

So I finally convinced my parents to let me take him on a "lease purchase" just to ensure I can train him properly. (and I changed his name to Tyhe, same name, but a differnt spelling just to be different)

I have had him 2 weeks and gone from....

and this..

To This (wallllaaa)..

^^^(Look at what lead we're on!!)

^^(and again!!)

^^^ This is just my favorite picture of him that I have to share with everybody.

I am so proud of him it is unbelievable!!

So glad you posted this, Sarah! I remember the thread when you were first looking at him. He certainly looks like he enjoys moving freely forward now!

How great to get these kind of results in a couple of weeks.
Its amazing what a change in a bit, and two weeks of riding can do. He is so much nicer to ride, and he gets better every single day.

He amazes me every day when I go out to the barn, im just so happy I lucked out with a great brained boy.
