Okay, we trail ride our horses. That's all we do. Love it. Live by some fantastic trails and have a great time. My husband and I never understood the appeal of riding horses in an arena. But after seeing the Lippizaner Stallions yesterday, we get it now. Dressage looks really nifty. I have a hard enough time getting my girl to reliably go the speed I want, and you can get your horses to do that stuff?

I'd always wanted to see The Lippizaner show, but I wouldn't have appreciated it in the past the way I do now that I have a young horse who still needs some training. I was so impressed and in awe the entire time.

I don't see us trading our trail horses for show prospects or anything, but I have a new respect for you dressage folks out there. You're awesome!

haha, ya, riding a hrose in an arena doesnt sound fun... but i do love it, as long as me and my horse get out to the trails every once in a while
