I just bought a 3yr old by Capital III, who is a Holstiener, His Dam is a Selle Fran. He is currently now registered with any association and does not have any papers, How do i figure out what he is? Does he become a cross of the 2 or I have heard some people say that he becomes what ever his Dam is?....

I have a warmblood with a Selle Francais dad and a Belgian Warmblood mom.
He's registered in the Belgian Warmblood association so I think that you could register your horse with the selle francais association.

I went to there website (selle fran) and this is what they saidin order to register him as selle francais:
  1. Both sire and dam are Selle Français.
  2. The sire is Selle Français and the dam is "factor" Selle Français.
  3. The dam is Selle Français and the sire is "factor" Selle Français.
"Factor" Selle Français horses must be one of the following
  1. Horses already registered with the French National Stud Book as "factor" Selle Français.
  2. Arab horses.
  3. Thoroughbred horses.
  4. Anglo-Arab horses.
  5. French Trotters who have a good level of proven competition success.
  6. French Trotters having two foals with a good level of proven competition success.
  7. Certain horses recognised as Sports Horses by the World Federation of Sports Horses (at the discretion of ANSF).
I am waiting for the owner of the stallion to email me back about what he is regestered with..

I know what Capital III is, I was told by a couple of people that alot of the time you choose one, Im trying to figure out who/what to register him with, I cant with the holstiener registry because they informed me Capital III is not registered with them...But the lady that owns the stallion is telling me he is? so Im guessing my only option is the American Warmblood Association
