A small long time dream has been to put in a gate to the pasture close to where I feed. This spring, didn't come when it should have, no beautiful month of May, cold winds and sometimes rain. Here we are at mid June, the two posts are in, the gates hung but more work to be done and it's way too hot and nary a breeze. The mosquitos are brutal. A head net is a must as well as a long sleeved shirt. At this rate the gates will be fully operational by next Fall.:-(

I hear ya! Mother Nature has delayed many of our outdoor projects around here as well.

Winter definitely stayed too long. Spring has brought too much rain. Now summer is here with hot temps. The flies are loving the temps and moisture, not to mention all the manure in the pastures that are too wet to get in and clean. When it is just about dry enough to clean them, it rains again. The poor horses are getting bit up so bad.
