i was wondering, what everyone thought of this bridle, i was looking at it, and have been talking to the seller for some time.

it is a Dark brown with white padding on the noseband and browband dressage bridle

She had told me she used it a few time
s schooling with her gelding for show jumping.
So i dont find anything wrong with it.

She said if i needed anything for show's except for schooling show's i would need something more fancy and with a different padding. But i dont plan on doing any show's for awhile and something to use to learn in suits me fine.

What do you all think ?

P.s. It come's with webbed reins and has Stoppers

im pretty suure hats a dressage bridle, i LOVE the ones like that with white maybe if you plan on jjumping get a hunter/jumper bridle, i doubt it makes a big difference but then you wouldnt have to buy another bridle to show with. or you could just buy a pleasure bridle... but i dont really think the type makes a huge difference. im pretty sure your allowed to show hunters with a dressage bridle... but then again... maybe its not even a dressage bridle! lol i love that style tho

i dont think it would really matter, and i dont mind purchasing another bridle lol !

Well i dont plan on showing for another year or so. It depends on how Indigo Does with jumping

He is actually grey though if you goto my 'barn'

It's very very much a dressage bridle! If you plan on doing any hunter/jumper type shows in the future and don't wnat to buy a second bridle I would get one that is more traditional: solid Havana or Oakbark. If you don't mind getting a second bridle and you like this one? Get it!

I think it is a nice bridle I ride in black tack, so I have done many a Jumper show in black and I have even done many a Hunter Schooling show in Black tack as well.

Heck, I am now at a very large, Primarily Hunter/Jumper barn, and I am the only one who rides in black tack. LOL.

I have placed well, in our shows and comps in black tack.

To be perfectly honest, all my bridles are "Dressage"/Eventing bridles, because I have a hard time finding Jumping Bridles in black.

But mine aren't double colored like yours. Just strait black.

The only difference is that Dressage Bridles are thicker padded - wider I mean. And then the nosebands get different as well, some dressage bridles you find Crank Nosebands *I dislike these very much* but it is a personal preference.

Anyways, I use Dressage Bridles all the time because they are black. Mine look just like this bridle, niltch the flash. I do not use Flash's at all.

So if I can use "dresage" bridles just fine while Eventing and doing Jumper shows and lessons and clinics and all that whoo haw, then so can you

Yeah if you are doing jumpers and eventing and very small schooling hunter shows then it won't matter (although it could become a tie breaker in a hunter show situation). I do jumpers in this:

Noseband is higher up, I had to punch hole and I just slapped that on for the picture. Brown with lilac padding

I got a very simmilar padded bridle for $30 on ebay. I really like that one. I dont think the judges at my schooling shows mind the bridle, but I perfer one color for h/j shows. I have that type of bridle and a brown bridle for my mare. The only think you need to do is keep the padding clean, it shows all dirt. Mine has a flash attachment but I think I lost it, because I dont use it at all.

MIE- what kind of saddle do you have? I dont know I've seen a jumping saddle in black before. I prefer black on my paint mare, I dont like brown because unless it the same color as her spots it just doesn't look right to me.

There are a ton of black jumping saddles, I know in Europe because hunters are not really big/the same thing as US hunters that black is actually more popular in some countries. My sister is in Germany and they are all surprised by her dark brown tack xD Cobra saddles are really popular there.

I mean in the US. I've never seen a really good brand in black. I've seen a few cheep-o saddle kits with A/P saddles but never a light weight C/C.

So i will throw it on without a bit to show it off, (indigo needs his teeth floated and the wolf teeth pulled)

i do like black tack also, but brown i also like,depending on what kind
i dont plan on doing anything big directed at show as of right now, just some smaller shows

haha I have the same bridle for sale. Mine just doesn't fit my horse and ive only used it three times.
