I've seen the phrase "top broke" a few times in CL ads, and was wondering if it actually meant something?

Here's the latest ad I've seen it in. Maybe it's just that seller misusing a term.

"Gentle and Top Broke Roan Gelding"

When I got on highly trained cutting horse, no bridle on him and no experience on my side, and he worked the flag without any clues from my side just as well as he does with his owner with 40 something years of cutting competitions experience. That's what I call TOP broke.

It means they're broke to ride when you're on top of them, as opposed to underneath them :lol:

Maybe, and this is a shot in the dark, it means that "top" is saddleable, as in riding as opposed to drivable, as in a harness and such.
