I looked around the forums and i may be blind but i didnt see a section for posting this topic in specifically. So i am sorry in advance if its in the wrong section and its 4 AM here and im sleepy :P
Ok guys here is my situation.
I dont want to hurt a horse but i really want that bond you can get no where else. Not even with a dog , but a bond with a horse. I am going to a Hunter Guide School/ Advanced Horsemanship school in 3 weeks , but heres my problem.
I am 6'7 , 330 pounds. I spent two years playing college football and working my butt off at school to make the grades and its time for me to break. Football has takin a toll on my body and i want to do something that i find enjoyable and i love the great out doors and im tired of being tired 24/7
.
Is there any way i can find a good horse i wouldnt look goofy on and wouldnt kill it? lol
Sorry to make this so long but i needed to ask some where , google didnt suffice this time around so here i am
. If i am just big to ride one , i understand.
PS: I was looking at a 18.3 hand Percheron , but from what i have been reading they arnt the best horses to carry my weight. It makes sense considering they have a long back and 330 pounds focused on the center of ANYTHINGs back wouldnt feel so good
, so im not sure what to do :/
