Copra, beet pulp, "free choice" hay, 10 acres of open space for them to run and play in (or stand around in), and about a 1 acre pond to splash around in if they want (yes, even in Dec they like going into the pond at times) which is what they have today and will still have next month LOL. Having plenty of food and enough room that they can cut lose and run full tilt in if they want (and a pond or stream to play in) is as much as a horse will ever actually want so for mine it's Christmas every day (except when it gets hot and the horse flies come out.....then it's hell).

What are you getting your horse (yourself ;-) ) for christmas?

I just got a Catago Fir Tech blanket (early xmas prezzie) for one of my horses that has muscle tensions. It used infrared heat to keep the muscles warm while relaxing in the stable. The others, and him as well, get new halters, himalayan salt blocks and bags of treats.

A carrot. My horse got a carrot.

Nav just got an extra large peppermint stick, but he loved it!

They also had stockings hung by each stall, but since I wasn't there on Christmas I don't know if the horses got any goodies or if it was just for decoration. It was super cute!

But, I'm planning to look into after Christmas/New Year sales and see if I can come up with a good deal for maybe a new pad or a flat noseband for his bridle. And for sure a new salt block for his stall

I love the ones that got 'their horse' new saddle, tack, hoof boots... I think it was meant to be something you got FOR your horse ;-)

Me, I put out a new round bale Xmas morn & didn't net it that day, so they got to gorge like we did on Xmas!

Haha! 'Stud muffins' are obviously a VERY different thing in your neck of the woods!
