What is your ultimate horse dream/ambition if money, time, etc. wasn't a factor?

I would like to settle down on 8-10 acres of my own land with my hubby & 3-4 horses where we can trail ride whenever we want. A simple country life would be nice. I would also like to train a foal from birth to adult. Like my Great Uncle, I would also like to take in some rescue/abandoned horses and give them a great life.

My dreams are simple and not that elaborate, I know, but it would make me so happy to have them come true.

My dream is to have a small plot of land with 1-2 show horses, Gypsy Vanners to be specific, and the rest rescue horses. And, even though this isn't horses, I want a few show Dalmatians and a few rescued Border Collies and mixes too.

I'd want a nice facility that I could use for my own personal use and to set up my own veterinary practice. Doesn't have to be anything fancy, just enough land for me and my animals (so farm animals and household ones :lol and my patients and be away from people and towns. If/when I'd retire from being a vet I'd want the barn to be able to accommodate training horses because that's a second career choice for me and a hobby.

I would also like to train my own horse from birth and probably keep a few rescues around and work with them or even just foster.

Oh man. I would perfer to move out west. Maybe to Montana or Wyoming (moving out there next year) And I would love to have 20-100 acre property for my horses. Have no more then 10 horses, and do a lot of trail riding and cow work.

That would be the life.

haha well I think your best option is to become a jockey or exercise rider.

OR

Get an off track Thoroughbred and sneak into a race track at night and go.

I think I like the second option better haha.

I have an OTTB and getting him into a full gallop once in while is needed. Its insane lol.

If nothing is stopping and I don't have to worry about finances. I would really love to ride cross country or a section of the trail Lewis and Clark took. Just me, some friends, my dog and a good days leisurely ride.

More realistically. I would settle for a bit of land so I could take some of my parents horses in and ease the burden on them. Particularly in the winter.

Your dream sounds pretty perfect to me! That's my "realistic" dream, owning land with space for a few horses and some hills to ride one.

My wow-that-would-be-incredible dream is to ride Sam in one of those epic trail rides across the Western US. Through mountains and streams with a pack mule

This is an actual goal for me, but I think it's far fetched since I'm 17 and started riding regularly when I was 16 /:

To become very solid in my riding & training and open up my own training/lesson facility either in Bosnia, Croatia or Austria.

I'd also like a 10ish acre farm to keep my horses on. Maybe a boarder or two. I'd like to train and show my own reiners eventually. I'd also like to take in a horse from the auctions and "flip" them, not even for profit just for the satisfaction.

I want to settle down on a HUGE acre lot. I want to live there and have horses. I want an arena, trails, everything. I think it would be so cool. I would want my barn to be a rescue barn for horses on their way to the slaughter house. I would train them and sell them to good homes. I want to make a difference. I would love to do this.

Tbh I'd most like my riding ring to drain properly. I'd also like a few more acres for my two boys and get another horse to complete my herd (possibly a fourth?!!! If only I weren't the only rider in my family...). I'd also like to win a few ribbons and try endurance riding.

Realistically, I want to be financially able to take care of my horses for the rest of their lives and give them the best care money can buy.

In my dream world, I'd like to buy an enormous, state of the art facility, take in unwanted horses, and keep them for the rest of their lives. I'd have vets, farriers, massage therapists, and grooms on duty all the time.

With an artist's salary, I'll be happy to achieve the first one. :wink:

I just want to win a darn belt buckle at a rodeo lol! or just start rodeing for that matter would be more then enough! It's proving to be a harder goal to reach...we will get there

Having a heated indoor arena would be nice for starters:wink:,then a nice barn attached with about dozen stalls & washrack.Few more paddocks & crossfencing in pasture would be nice too:lol:
Just Being able to ride when I want without being at the mercy of the weather is my biggest thing I'd like to change
