whats worse for a horse joints? starting jumping at age 4. little stuff under 3 feet . orrrrr training a young horse for the track and possibly racing??

just wondering cuz we were having a discussion about it :)
I'd say racing, but NEITHER one is good. Just because I think one is worse than the other...certainly doesn't mean I think one is BETTER than the other. I would NEVER do either.

There are so many older trained horses around, why jump the babies?

It sounds like you are trying to make a case for 'this is OK because it is not as bad as that'.
I agree, I got the same impression after riding it.

i really was just curious so i dont appreciate all of u assuning im trying to make an excuse.
i was wondering which one you thought was worse because ive seen both. and when i mean worse i mean which one will end up the worst in the long run. im just wondering about it.
Neither one will end BETTER in the long run...

What you'll probably end up with, EITHER WAY, is a horse that has arthritis before it even hits 20. There's no way that getting arthritis from racing young or getting arthritis from jumping young is better than the other. They are both bad.
