I've been spending a lot of time on craigslist looking for a trail horse (in the 500 to 1500 dollar range), and there is one thing I just don't get.

Why would someone post a horse for sale ad and not include a picture. Is it because the horse is just too fugly, the seller is too lazy, it's a scam, or what?

Plus there are the ads with very poor pictures that make the horse look much worse than it probably really is in person.

Any ideas?

IDK but I put an add on CL to take pictures for the price of gas. No takers.

Although some people might not have a digital camera...

I suppose some people might not have a camera.

The thing is, even my MIL has a digital camera and she doesn't even have a computer. So, it's hard for me to imagine not at least knowing someone who could snap some good shots of your horse to put up.

Not willing to go through a little inconvenience to make a thousand dollars? I guess some people are that lazy.

The CL site is sometimes picky about photos. I have posted several ads and the only photos it would accept were the ones with very low MBs. For some, resizing photos to fit the parameters of entry may be too much.

And or, there are no good pics of the horse.
