Must be calm and not spooky at all, not too young. My barn owner has an opening because she has an older horse, and she said she could take a horse in that visitors could ride. [Her old gelding is in his mid-thirties: beyond retired.] He/she would have a really good home, so if anyone knows of anything, let me know. =]

Nelson might be - but that all depends on what he tells me.

I know Margaret and her expertise with horses and her knowedge and I would trust her to give Nelson a good, careing, loving, attentive home and she would take very good care of him - but I don't know.

I'm still very attached to Nelson with heart and soul and love him dearly. But again, it all depends on what he tells me.

I didn't know you were thinking of giving Nelson up... but it's not Margaret, unfortunately.

I am not thinking about giving him up, but I am trying to come up with a back up plan for when Boo says "Mom, I cant do this anymore" so that he'll have a retirement home where he will be very well taken care of, needs met, and where he wont end up in a Kill Pen at an auction or at MSU as a research horse. He deserves excellant care, attention and nothing less - so I'm very picky to where he'll go, that is, if that is what I decide.

I discovered it wasn't Margaret when I called her directly and had a great conversation with her yesterday.

Did you ask her about Donovan (the arab gelding)? My barn owner also has a mixed mare up for sale now too.
