Red face

Hi, I'm Jackie. I had horses as a kid, 2 quarter horses and finally an Appaloosa. Never more than one at a time. I enjoyed having them and sold my App after my first year of college. She was 7 I think.

Now the grown up me has kids and a horse hungry daughter. She is 13. We bought a quarter horse in July but then we discovered that she is allergic to horses. VERY allergic. It does not play well with her asthma. She has had riding lessons over the past few years and absolutely LOVES animals.

We were able to trade the quarter horse with a baskir curly. Roanie is 15 years young and is very good. She does have a stubborn streak after lounging and isn't as 'slow' as the former quarter horse, but she is very respectful on the ground and in the saddle. She is also possibly in foal. We do not have many curlies in the area, but my daughter doesn't seem to be reacting to her, which is a plus.

Welcome! I know there are other curly owners here, and at least one of them also has allergy issues but no problems with curlies.

PS We love to see pictures of your horse!

Welcome Jackie! Your curly is beautiful.

Do you give the horse its strength or clothe its neck with a flowing mane? Job 39:19
