Hello Horse People <3

Hello xD
I have been looking for an enjoyable horse forum online, a place to go talk horses, discuss horses, or get advice about horses, and I hope that I have found it here. I can't wait to meet everyone, and get to know you and your horses

Alittle about me, I am a stay at home, homeschool mom of a four year old son that, and my husband and I are in the process of buying a home and eleven acres in East Texas. I haven't been able to own a horse since I got married six years ago, and this move will finally allow me the chance again. Our land will need to be cleared of trees and then fenced, and have a stable built on it, but I am up for all the challenges. It will take some time and alot of elbow grease, but I don't mind. Just the thought of owning again and a chance to is worth it all for me.

I grew up in the country of North Texas owning and riding multiple horses since the age of five, and was also homeschooled, so my horses were my whole world. My parents didn't have much experience with horses, but wanted to give me in chance with them in the only way they knew how. I was given a pony at age five, and from that age till in college, I went through multiple horses and ponies learning from the school of hard knocks, tv, books, friends, and then trainers. I did everything a teen could do with a minimal budget to advance in my horsemanship. I trained in highschool, and was able to really advance, when I started working with a good friend and several quarter horses, paints, and a mustang. Those were some of my best memories, and taught me alot of what I know and how I view training and horsemanship as a whole. Those were some of the best memories of my life, and I can't wait to own again and have a horse to work with.

Anyway I am glad to be here, and feel free to ask me any questions, or anything <3

At the moment alot of it is covered in pine, cedar, and other types of trees. It will be gorgeous once cleaned up a bit. Also it is quite a way from town with alot of fields nearby for possible riding. Lot of potential :) So excited! I just need to pray down money to help the process speed up LOL

Thank you :) I will definitely share images of my journey with everyone. I look forward to starting a journal here for everything.

I am glad for the diversity of training styles and disciplines here. I am a huge study on any type of training, if I would use it personally or not, I believe everyone can teach you something, and it just helps you become a more rounded person or horseman/woman overall. I have enjoyed most of the topics I have been reading today. I also hope to be able to share my views to help others as well.

In my opinion you found the best forum for horse lovers around.

I'm from North Texas also, originally from the Bowie area and currently live in Weatherford.

Your land sounds great, congrats!

Have been around and obsessed with horses all my life, and have to say that there are a lot of knowledgable people on these forums. I've learned about things I've never even heard of before here.

It is going to feel good to get the land prepared and bring that first horse home. It will be worth it, even if it is hotter than the surface of the Sun right now in Texas.

I grew up in Millsap Texas xD I dearly love Weatherford, and think it is a wonderful town. I would honestly love to move back there someday. So many good honest people there :)

Texas has been crazy hot lately :/ My husband and I are at our small country church cleaning and mowing, and even though today is somewhat cooler then it has been, it is still so dangerous hot outside x.x
