Howdy everyone! My name is Courtney and I live in Pennsylvania. I have been riding for around 20 years and have mostly done western but have dabbled in english. Horses are my complete and utter passion in life..... I live eat and breathe them (other than my coming 4 year old son ;) ). I currently only own one horse but ride 12 for friends during the week to keep them excercised. It is an absolute blast! I would honestly consider it almost like a free lease type situation because the owners fully trust me and give me a lot of leeway. :)
Anywho, without further ado.... here are the beautiful beasts!
**I'm not really sure what order these are going to upload. So I'll put descriptions of each horse below and two will have to be in comments?**
LindyLou- is my 14 year old 15.1 hand sorrel QH mare. I bought her 9 years ago for my western pleasure show horse at AQHA shows, did that for a couple years, she had a foal for me, and now we are moving on to western dressage for something different!
Timmy- 14ish yr old sorrel AQHA gelding. He also did some pleasure and reining but is now also transitioning to western dressage with Lindy and I. All three of us are going to a dressage clinic this coming weekend!
Grace- 10ish year old grey APHA mare. She is such a quirk! But, has a lot of gorgeous movement and talent in a little tiny petite body. I enjoy this horse and have a lot of plans for her.... to see how she progresses.
Hope- 14ish yr old bay AQHA mare. She did a lot of pleasure in her day and has retained all of her great training but has sat for quite a few years. She has off and on lameness issues so we just take the days as they come...
Whisper- 20 yr old cremello AQHA mare. She has done a lot of western/english showing in 4-H and is a cutie to ride! Sweet heart but yet fairly stand offish as well until she knows you.
Maya-24ish yr old black/white tobiano APHA mare. She is as calm, bombproof, and relaxed as they come. Absolute joy to ride!
Diddy- 8ish yr old black AQHA gelding. This horse has a lot of training in reining and SUPER talented mover. I enjoy working with him.
Koda- 22ish yr old bay/white tobiano APHA gelding. He's another totally bomb proof and calm guy. He knows his job and is a blast!
At a different barn:
Snickers-24ish yr old bay/white tobiano APHA gelding. He used to be a huge pole horse and was rodeod a lot. But, now in his older age plods kids around a couple times a week for lessons. I would buy this horse if I could... just feel such a connection with him. He's a doll baby and such a joy to ride!
Harley- 14ish yr old sorrel AQHA mare. She was a western pleasure show horse and then had some off and on lameness issues so had quite some time off. But, she can handle light work and is a fun one to ride for sure!
Rusty-15ish sorrel AQHA gelding. This guy has done a lot and was mainly used as a hunter under saddle horse I believe. He is a push button confidence boosting type of ride!
Mambo- 15ish bay Arabian mare. She is so typey and fancy. I LOVE it! Her owner hasn't ridden her in quite awhile but I'm bringing her back into work and possibly trail rides.
At my barn where my mare is boarded:
Kip-12ish year old bay Appendix mare. She is a different horse.... not quite sure what goes on in her head. She is very finicky and likes things just right. Fairly spooky and definitely needs her rider to be completely in control. But, we will get her there!
Alrighty, sorry for this super long winded post. But, I thought I would just share my lovelies with you all.
I can't wait to share more with you and interact with everyone. It's been a hot minute since I've been active on a forum like this. I miss it!
