I was thinking of taking my trailer out longer in the season. It is now averaging below freezing by several degrees here and likely to remain that way and get much, much colder until, oh, about late March. I won't be trailering much, or at all, after Dec - no time and the roads can get scary in a hurry here with no warning.
So, until then, should I blanket my horse in the trailer? I do not tie my horse and don't put shipping boots on here, or wraps for trailering. Just a halter and in she goes. I'm concerned that a blanket can provide something to get hung up on, but also concerned about the temperature in the trailer because I don't know how much wind gets in there when I'm going 90 km/hr.
Thoughts?
