I saw this product in our Tractor Supply today and took a couple of quick pictures but the main ingredient didn't show up. Has any one used this or heard of it? I can't find anything out on their site even. It must be really new, recently renamed or about to be discontinued Ha! Ha!
I'm interested in hearing any reviews on this product. Thanks so much.

After some research, the main ingredients listed are vegetable oil/mixed tocopherols--Vitamin E family alpha, beta, delta and gamma forms from leafy veggies, nuts & sunflower oils. Fat soluble antioxidants with other favorable effects.

$20-something a bag at Tractor Supply...incorporating it slowly for a 32 year old started yesterday with 1 & 1/2 ounces added to regular wet ration twice daily. I'll let you know if it's worth it.

I just bought some from TS as well. I have a 25 yo mare who has been having trouble keeping weight on for the last 2 years. I tape weighed her today at 850 lbs. she is 15 h so id like to see another 150 lbs on her. I would like to know how all your horses are doing on this product. I hope it works

Did it work?

Now that some of y'all have been using the weight accelerator for awhile, has it worked? I have a mare that needs to gain a few pounds as well, using Purina Amplify, also Farnam weight builder. Hoping to hear some reviews/feedback/comparisons. Thanks.

My two 20 year old mares were a bit ribby this fall, so I started adding corn oil and manna pro senior weight accelerator very gradually plus increasing hay. After one month I see an improvement. I chose the Manna Pro because it is 99% fat and has no wheat. I am gluten intolerant and avoid breathing the dust from gluten in feeds. My vet recommended feeding a Senior Feed but it contains much wheat. The feed I mix the Manna Pro and corn oil with is a local product called Bet's Best and is a 14% protein pelleted, complete feed. I also increased the feed to 3 lbs a day for the one 1000 lb.horse plus 2 scoops of the accelerator, and two cups of corn oil. For the other 850 lb.smaller horse I mix 1 lb.of feed one scoop of the accelerator, and 1 1/2 cups of corn oil. I also mix hot water in with this mixture to blend it into a palatable mush which they seem to like. The Manna Pro Weight Accelerator has a strong apple smell, and I assume flavor, which my horses had to become accustomed to as they have not been given apple treats. The smaller horse has hoofs that like to crack so I have been giving her one scoop of Bio-Meth dressed on top of the above mixture. The Bio-Meth has helped her hoofs crack less and hold up better even though I doubt the propensity of her hoofs to crack will ever completely go away. To note, both horses seem so much more content. They seem to waste much hay, so before this new regime I probably was not giving them enough hay taking their wasting of it as an indication to cut back. But I do think that this new regime has improved their appetite perhaps, even though I still see wasted hay. I plan to gradually cut back on the corn oil and accelerator this second month to one portion of each for maintenance and just see how they do.
