Small Vent: Magic Cushion

I think either I'm doing something wrong, or it's just a product that naturally repels me.

I set out to use magic cushion on my horse's frog and not only did it fail to stick to his hoof after application (all of it stuck to the ground with his first step after waiting 10 minutes for it to be ready) but I ended up with it ALL over my arms despite wearing gloves, all over the rubber mat he was standing on, and all over my clothes.

I wore gloves, I was careful, I took my time...

BUT NOW IT IS RIPPING MY HAIR OFF. All the dog and horse hair is now stuck to my arms and my own hair keeps sticking to it too. Trying to remove it just makes it spread more.
I had to go to the store with it all over my arms, like little pools of tar. Not to mention I smell like a barn since I've been working the past few days, but that's a different story all together.

Does anyone have any good experience with Magic cushion? Or is it similar to my mess...?

Ugh! That sounds like no fun. I'm sorry.
I guess you got....free waxing?? haha Yikes.

I've never heard of that stuff before, but Google turned up with this video -

Is that basically what you did?
Those actor types though, I'm sure they practice it 50 zillion times before taping. Ugh. haha

It's not something I would use, especially after your experience!

Have you tried the product "Goo Gone" to remove the gunk? It's pretty good stuff. It didn't bother my skin when I had to use it because I got a contractor glue on me when the kids and I built a playhouse. I used it on them, too. :)

Emily, I definitely did! Her Magic cushion looks more like clay, mine resembled tar. Maybe something happened to it.

I should clarify I used the Magic Cushion Xtreme, which now lives in the garbage can. Maybe the non Xtreme one is better?

Had to giggle at your free wax joke, that's basically what I've experienced haha! Just in random areas of my arm

~~

I haven't tried Goo Gone, boots! I will try that today!

I ended up ripping it off of my skin :/ my skin is fine but it took my hair with it
I tried to buy some goof off or something of that nature this morning but they were out of stock and I had class!!!!

Just an fyi to everyone, maybe my experience was a freak incident but please be careful. Even if you are careful, have some goop remover on hand!

^Aah, where would the world be without WD40, duct tape, balers twine...

Sky, how about getting onto the manufacturer? I have no experience of it either, but if it's supposed to be clay consistency, maybe it had gone off or bad batch or such. I'd see what they say & maybe get money back & a sample off them to retry...

That's a great idea Loosie! I will look into contacting them, but it's not high on my list of things to do. With school and Sky's feet, and finding time to catch up on sleeping, juggling work... it'll happen down the line

I'm sorry you've had that experience!! I use it and I definitely have not, though I am a bit skeptical on whether it works or not.

I always clean the foot really well first. I don my gloves and I put it in small amounts at a time. It will NOT stick well to a wet foot. Once I have it in there I grab a hand full of shavings and firmly press if into the bottom of the foot. It literally last for DAYS like that. My only complaint is that she seems to pick up large rocks because it's so sticky and soft.

When I use it I take a paint stirrer and use that to apply so I don't have to touch it. Then I take a paper bag and place a piece of it on the bottom of my hoof. Then I take the vet wrap and tape it up..... Holds really well for me but i only use it when he's stalled.
