I just spent 8 days on the Willmore with a good pal. What an amazing place. It is in Northern Alberta north of Jasper National Park. It is wild, rough and tough country.

Beautiful pictures as always.

Did you see the big bear that make that track?!

Although you were remote enough to see a Bigfoot. I’m not kidding; I happen to believe they survived from ancient times and are smart enough to avoid those who want to kill them.

Pictures shared are gorgeous as usual.
I had to look close to see if they were actual pictures or paintings as these are the subjects that call to my heart when I go to gallery or exhibit.

Glorious pictures of a beautiful nature so few see and that is exactly why they are pristine and undisturbed or little disturbance made.
Thanks for thinking of us sharing your adventures.

That is him. My palomino injured himself in pasture 2 weeks prior. He is healed now but didn't want to risk taking him.

He was good under saddle. He has terrible ground manners and I was hesitant to take him due to that when leading two horses in dangerous territory. I paid the price day 3 morning while putting a cantle bag on him he planted my foot, I fell back on a stump and hurt my tailbone. It is still sore so made things more interesting.

I should have been more careful the dancing around got me.

Do you pick up any ticks on your trail rides? Or are ticks pretty unusual that far north?

Those pictures are amazing. Makes me want to go to Canada!

I bet it gets pretty cold at night.
Ticks are possible and we check our horses over close for everything when we are done, it is rare.

Cold is relative lol. it was around 0 c or 32 f most nights, the first 2 were rainy in the day and cleared at night so sank a fair amount below that.

The last morning coming out the high elevations got snow.

Fall literally happened in front of our eyes. It was green going in and pretty yellow out. You can likely see the difference in the pics top one is way out.
